Why I'm getting in a lather about World Beer Day

It's World Beer Day today so to celebrate I'll be taking my beer into the shower.

Not the liquid kind of course (imagine!), but a bar of College Green Lemongrass & Ginger soap which contains beer as a special guest ingredient.

Why beer? Well not only does it add a beautifully rich lather to the finished soap, but a gorgeous, natural amber colour too.

To the usual blend of six skin loving oils and butters I add two essential oils to Lemongrass & Ginger Beer Soap: deodorising and antibacterial lemongrass (a key ingredient in natural insect repellents) which contributes to the fresh, lemony scent that soothes stress and gives a boost to tired minds, and comforting ginger to boost circulation and revive tired muscles.

There's also a sprinkling of soothing oats which help to protect and heal dry skin, and provide gentle exfoliation.

All in all, it's a gorgeous soap with a twist - and makes a great little present for dads (hint - Father's day is on Sunday!)

And for Stroudies the best part is probably the make of beer itself - brewed locally by Stroud Brewery (the latest batch uses Tom Long).
