Everyone in Stroud knows it, and now it's official - the place we call home is the best place to live in the UK according to the Sunday Times.
We know it too, which is why it's been our home for more than 20 years. Quirky, independent and free-spirited, Stroud is said to lie on the convergence of numerous lay lines which is why so many people pass through while travelling and never leave.
“There are all sorts of things going on here, but everyone has the aim of keeping Stroud independent and local,” says our favourite baker, Dominic Salter of Salt Bakehouse.
And of course the report quite rightly states that "the star attraction is the farmers’ market on Saturdays. With more than 50 stalls, it’s one of the biggest and best in the country." It's where we launched our business, four years ago, and where we're hoping to return to in April after long pause during lockdown.
