It's amazing what 10 weeks in lockdown does to productivity: we've finally developed the range of candles that has been simmering in the background of College Green life for more than a year.
In the end it was the packaging that was the final piece of the jigsaw to fit into place. Originally I intended to wrap the candles in the same lovely Cambridge Imprint paper that we wrap our soaps in, but the result was never quite right.
Then I took another look at the shiny metal of the containers and realised they were too beautiful to hide - the eureka! moment.
So now we have our first collection of College Green candles. Available in two sizes - a small heart shaped silver tin, and a larger paint pot style silver tin.
Made of clean burning soy wax and a blend of fragrance oils, the College Green candle range compliments our range of wax melts and is available in the following scents:
- Lemongrass & Ginger
- Wild Fig & Cassis
- Wild Mint
- Amber Noir
And they're available in gift sets of four or six candles, packed in a luxury grey box.
The scents have been chosen to compliment the College Green range of soaps and bath soaks - why not end your day by lighting a Lavender candle, relaxing into a warm Sleep Easy bath and lathering up with a skin softening Lavender & Patchouli soap? You'll be asleep in no time.
We include a small heart candle in our Soap & Bath Soak gift boxes, or try these combinations:
- Rose Geranium soap, Rosy Posy bath soak, Rose candle
- Lavender & Patchouli soap, Sleep Easy bath soak, Lavender candle
- Lemongrass, Ginger & Oat soap, Calming bath soak, Lemongrass & Ginger candle
- Lime & Grapefruit soap, Happy Bath soak, Amber Noir or Wild Mint candle
- Peppermint & Rosemary Soap, Warming or Calming bath soak, Wild Mint candle
Both styles have lids so they're perfect for travelling, and once the candles are finished, the tins make useful containers for all kinds of things, or are fully recyclable.
College Green candles are available from our website, Made in Stroud and Ruscombe & Whiteshill Shop.
We won't be returning to market stalls until the Autumn - but we'll post details here when we do.
