Made in Stroud started as a series of makers' markets in 1991, which evolved into Stroud Farmers' Market in 1999. The market was opened by Isabella Blow and Jasper Conran, who famously described Stroud as "the Covent Garden of the Cotswolds." Made in Stroud followed soon after in 2000 and has been the go-to place to find original handmade goods by local craftspeople.
