We currently have only limited numbers of sunflower soaps, and as each soap takes 6 weeks to cure, will add more as they become ready to use.
The soaps will come wrapped in tissue paper.
Sunflowers Suicide Support is a charity based in our home village of Randwick, near Stroud, and was started after the family of Pete Morris discovered there was very little in the way of professional support after Pete took his own life.
Their mission statement is:
We exist to reduce the number of people who take their own lives in Gloucestershire. We aim to raise awareness of the stigma that surrounds mental health. We aim to highlight and help others identify suicide indicators. We endeavour to equip individuals and the community with the skills to recognise and respond to suicidal behaviour. We believe that everyone can play a part in making Gloucestershire a suicide safer community.
We endeavour to support any individuals living in Gloucestershire that have been bereaved by suicide and work to provide timely practical care and the best possible help to these individuals. We endevour to signpost individuals to further professional support and guidance.
