It was so lovely to be back at Stroud Farmers' Market on Saturday - and we were happy to be in our usual spot, sandwiched between Nifty Nut Butters and Little Hollows Pasta.
We didn't realise how much we've missed seeing our market friends and customers until we were there again, and it's so nice to be able to have a conversation about our products, the ingredients and explain the best way to use them (did we talk too much?!)
Despite our initial nervousness about being at a busy market the numbers were manageable - just like an average April, market managers Gerb & Joe spent the entire time patrolling around and everyone kept to the one way system.
We missed Ye Green Men who have relocated to West Wales; it's the rule that all the products at the market are made within a 30 mile radius, so you know whatever you buy is truly local.
And the sun shone all day - always a bonus.
Top of the farmers' market charts:
- Soap - our best selling soap by a long way was Rose Geranium.
- Bath soak - Rosy Posy (we even sold one to someone who's wife's nickname was Rosy Posy!)
- Candle - Parisian Spring
- Gift set - wax melts
Our next market will be Saturday 22 May - it can't come soon enough :-)
